The test was repeated several times until the questioner identified one of the respondents as the computer without making any error. This test concluded that computers are considered to have Artificial Intelligence as the person asking questions could not figure out which of the respondents is human or machine.

For many years, this test has been criticized due to the nature of questions being limited to computers acting like humans. A computer might only score high only if it has been programmed with “Yes” or “No” answers or pertains to a narrow field of knowledge that is only understood by computers. And, it would fail if questions were more open-ended and required deep conversational answers. Furthermore, a program named ELIZA could pass the Test by simply manipulating symbols it does not understand.
